Ask for Account at Registration

If your organization decides to allow new Donors to register for a new Account (Fund) from the Home Page (as opposed to hiding this functionality in its entirety) they must provide certain information to create it.

The “Ask for Account at Registration” preference allows you to determine that information during the “Personal Information” section of the registration. Whether you want to know the Account Number, SSN/TID Number, or neither (removing the ability to register this information), this is the preference to do that. The options are “Account Number,” “Account Number (mandatory),” “SSN/TID Number,” or simply “Hide.”

Account Number:

When “Account Number” is selected, the Account Number can be added when entering Personal Information at Registration; however, it is not required to create a new account.

Account Number (mandatory):

When “Account Number (mandatory)” is selected, the Account Number is required (this is indicated by the red asterisk on the top right of the label) when entering Personal Information at Registration to create a new account.

SSN/TID Number:

When “SSN/TID Number” is selected, the SSN/TID Number can be added when entering Personal Information at Registration; however, it is not required to create a new account.

Hide:

When “Hide” is selected, neither the Account nor SSN/TID Numbers are shown and instead, only an address is required while entering Personal Information at Registration to create a new account.
