Article summary

FoundationHub allows the user to set up three types of contacts:

a. Grantee:

A Grantee in the system is an organization/individual who can receive a Grant.

b. Vendor:

A Vendor in the system is an organization/individual who will receive payment but is not a charitable organization.

c. Interested Party:

An Interested Party in the system is an organization/individual who is not a Grantee or Vendor. Typically, this consists of Donors or Advisors. Only Interested Parties can create a DonorSphere account.

FoundationHub also allows the user to create a Contact, and a Fund separately and then link them together. The philosophy behind this is that each contact has a unique contact profile storing details such as phone numbers and addresses in one place. This contact profile can then be linked to multiple funds in various ways.

The first step in linking a contact profile to a Fund is to set up the new contact profile on FoundationHub.
